Current Committee Chair: Jeff S.

1. Tradition One states: "Our common welfare should come first – personal recovery depends upon CA unity."
2. The SFVCA Unity Committee promotes CA unity not just through fellowship-wide events, but also through communication of the message that as a 12 Step fellowship we are united in agreement to the following:
   1. There is a solution in the 12 Steps.
   2. There is direction for the Groups in the 12 Traditions.
   3. The Concepts are the guidelines for our organized service work.
3. The role of the Unity Committee includes the equally important task of creating methods of enhancing communication and outreach between the Area’s Groups.
4. The Unity Committee also serves to bring a neutral and prudent voice in times of serious concern or misunderstanding within a Group, or the fellowship as a whole.
5. The Unity Committee Chair should have, or be willing to gain, a solid working knowledge of the 12 Traditions.
